January 2026 Announcement: Higher Rebate Limits Now Available
The standalone attic rebate option under the Home Renovation Savings initiative has officially been extended until November 2026. Along with the extension, Enbridge Gas has increased the maximum rebate amounts available to homeowners.
In addition to the standalone attic rebate path of the Home Renovation Savings program being extended through the end of November 2026, Enbridge Gas has announced new, increased maximum rebate amounts.
In January 2026, rebate caps across all tiers of the standalone attic stream increased by $250. Homeowners can now receive up to $1,250 for a standard attic insulation upgrade and up to $750 for cathedral ceiling or flat roof insulation improvements.

Eligibility Requirements for the Attic Insulation Rebate
Ontario homeowners may qualify for the rebate program through Save On Energy and Enbridge Gas if they meet the following criteria:
- Own a single-detached, semi-detached, row house, non-stacked townhome, or mobile home on a permanent foundation
- Have attic insulation rated at R-35 or lower and plan to upgrade 100% of accessible attic space
- Have not previously received attic insulation rebates from Enbridge Gas, Save On Energy, or other Ontario-based programs
- Heat their home with natural gas supplied by Enbridge Gas through a furnace or boiler
- Homes heated with electricity, oil, propane, or wood may also qualify if the homeowner has an account with a local electric utility connected to the Independent Electricity System Operator (excluding Cornwall Electric).
